i think its 4 years. but mate its very very hard to get. im here in melbourne trying to get one now and its prooving very hard to get. my girlfriend is australian and even if i marry her iv only a 40 % chance of being allowed stay. its a crazy paranoid country here

it depends on qualifications, some people get them in 2 years and some even in one. The smarter and richer you are the faster u get it. lol
