How deep are your pockets ..? The cost of housing in Australia isn't cheap....I would suggest that you arrange live in accomodation at least until you get your bearings & decide where it is that you want to live ..

totally agree, they all seem so down to earth and relaxed there, besides the scorpions, extremely poisonous snakes and killer box jellyfish that live out in the open waters of the ocean...... oh.......did I mention black widow spiders and brown recluse spiders they are prevalent there. ugg, there is no paradise is there?

I live here and i think it's awesome. It IS the best country. well atleast better than stupid America. (no offence to any americans, i just dont like America)
4 :
i wish i lived in australia seems like a happy country and idk maybe clean and pure but i bet its better than america lol but yeah take me with youuuuuu!! lol i heard theres alot of hot ppl over there
5 :
ME! i would so love to live there.
6 :
australia is for lazy people.. why? cos everything is so slow over there.
7 :
Yes I agree by a country mile.
8 :
No matter how much $$ I ever had, I would still call Australia home!!!!!
9 :
There's no place like home.. Australia. Man some people have messed up ideas of Australia, they don't realise if that were true it would be inhabitable.
10 :
i love australia!! ive been overseas before and it was great but i was so glad to get back home!! i love our beaches, our weather and the people. australia is awesome i never want to live anywhere else
11 :
I love it too. Australia is my home. But I wouldn't mind living in the US for a few years.
12 :
I'm Aussie, I love Australia and I love living in Australia, but I don't want to be biased when I say it's the best place to live. I'm one of those "politically correct" kind of guys =P So yeah, Australia is an absolutely great place to live, but I've only lived in one country (obviously Australia) and I can't bring my self to say it's the best.
13 :
yes i have lived in the USA its a great place the people are very similar and are not like your stereo typical tourist who is usually load and needs to be noticed.Dont get me wrong America is great i just didn't feel as safe there as i do in OZ plus the quality of our food is just awsome compared to the USA,I have lived in the UK as well and man the cost of living just killed me plus the dreary weather and poms would have to be the most unadventurous race out.Australia really is awsome and the people here really dont know how lucky they are to live in a country with good economics.
14 :
I totally agree with you too !
15 :
I've been to Australia, and I loved it. But the USA is the ONLY place for me baby.

Well im sure you australians ar proud of your bush, cheney, palin, alberto gonales, huckabee, romney, spears, paris hilton (last 2 to be unpolitical), and pelosi (to be nonpartisan) free air, water, and land.

Which is the best town to live in australia

Which is the best town to live in australia?
I wish to move to australia from NZ and need to know a quite, cheap, friendly, lot of work( farm or skilled) , not hot weather and close to big city ( between 150 km to 50 km). Please let me know if you know any place in Australia.

For W.A. and being close to Perth, consider Northam, Wundowie, Goomalling, Toodjay. May be a bit hot though in WA. Summer can be 44C
2 :
Wollongong, its in NSW, about 45 min from Sydney and is a coastal city kinda town (cheap too)
3 :
i think Adelaide is a nice place to live it is a big town, but spread out and it isn't too hot or cold. if you are looking for somewhere smaller than perhaps a small country town somewhere they can be very charming.

If you live in the United States, and you were born there, can you go live in Australia

If you live in the United States, and you were born there, can you go live in Australia?
Pretty much exactly what the title says. I know you can if you marry somebody who lives in Australia, but what if you just want to go live there?

you need to pledge nationality to australia first, just like we have to get green cards when we come to the US from a different place.
2 :
If you have citizenship or immigrant visa of Australia, you can move and live there.
3 :
Yes
4 :
its unlikely to happen
5 :
US citizenship is not Australian citizenship. You're confused with things being immediate.Absolutely NO first world country will make you a Citizen right off the back everyone starts with permanent residency if they qualify and Australia has the probably the most difficult immigration rules if you're not skilled or have immediate family to immigrate there.
