If your girlfriend qualifies as your de facto partner, she doesn't need any particular skills. If you have lived together in an exclusive de facto relationship for at least 12 months (and can prove it), you can include her as a secondary applicant on your visa application and she will be granted the same visa as yours. If however you have already applied and she was not included in your application, there are some visas and circumstances where a secondary applicant cannot be added after the application has been lodged. In that case, you may have to wait until you are here as a PR and then apply for her to come on a Partner visa. Again, you must have lived together for 12 months or more for her to meet the requirements for coming as your partner. If you haven't lived together for long enough (unless you can show compelling reasons for not having done so), you will either need to find some way of doing so, or you must marry - there is no cohabitation requirement for married couples. http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/bringing-secondary-app.htm This may not be the visa you've applied for but the requirements are similar for all visa classes. http://www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sheets/35relationship.htm
